50-V tantalum polymer capacitors are industry’s first
The TCJ series now includes the industry’s first 1-µF/50-V and 10-µF/35-V SMD polymer tantalum capacitors. With the voltage range extension, the series now meets the demands of dc/dc converter applications that supply circuits in devices such as LCD TVs, base stations, rectifiers, and LED power drivers in PC monitors and new LED-technology TVs.
The RoHS-compliant series is made with conductive polymer to reduce ignition failure. The capacitors maintain stability in ambient temperature (25°C) and applied voltages, and are 3x reflow compatible up to 260°C. The devices also exhibit low ESR, and suit continuous operation with only a ±20% voltage derating.
Available in 13 case sizes, the capacitors operate in temperatures from –55° to 125°C. (1-µF B case, $0.620 ea/10,000 — 8 weeks ARO.)
