The MB5000RU series dc/dc converter delivers 50 W of isolated, regulated output power in a 1 x 2 x 0.4-in. case. Ten standard models operate from 24 Vdc (9 to 36 V) or 48 Vdc (18 to 75 V) 4:1 inputs, providing regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, or 24 Vdc.
Standard features for the dc/dc converter include line/load regulation <0.5%, input/output isolation of 1,500 Vdc, a remote control input, and 92% efficiency. All models are protected for output short-circuit faults, overtemperature conditions, and output overcurrent faults. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) is greater than 328 kh. Operation is specified for the ambient temperature range of –40° to +61°C (adding the heat sink option extends the temperature range to +69°C).
