50-W quarter brick dc/dc converter targets railways

The RQF series of railway dc/dc converters features a 50-W regulated output power with nominal railway input voltages of 72 Vdc (43 to 101 Vdc) and 110 Vdc (66 to 160 Vdc). Single outputs offered are 5, 12, 15, and 24 Vdc. The devices use an industry standard quarter brick package that can be ordered with an optional heat-sink. The converters operate with efficiencies as high as 92%.

The dc/dc converter series features remote on/off, output trim, over temperature, overload, and short-circuit protection. The operating baseplate temperature range extends from -40° to +105°C. The units are encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound and uses metal baseplate. They meet Railway standards EN50155, EN45545-2, and EMC standard EN50121-3-2.
