The LRiS64K IC combines a 64-Kbit nonvolatile EEPROM with both an I2 C bus and a wireless (RFID) interface. The IC uses a 13.56 MHz carrier frequency, ISO15693 standard, radio with a 53-kbit/s wireless data rate and a 64-bit unique identifier.
The chip uses a single 1.8 to 5.5 V supply and features more than 1-M write cycles, multiple password protection in RF mode, single password protection in I2C mode, and 40-year data retention. It comes in a MLP8 or TSSOP8 package. (From $1.19 ea/2500 — available now.)
