70-W buck-driver powers LED-strings

The RCD-48 series is a step-down constant current source for driving high-power LED applications. With input voltage up to 60 Vdc and constant current outputs of 350, 500, 700 and 1,200 mA, the device provides power up to 70 W. This enables a fixture using the full wattage to replace a conventional light that could have used up to 350 W.

The buck-driver suits long LED-chains and larger multi-chip arrays. The devices are dimmable down to zero with external digital (PWM) or analog control. The PWM control input can be directly connected to a microcontroller. Efficiency is rated at 96%, with an operating temperature range 40° and +85C. The modules are available with pins for PCB mounting or with flying leads for non-PCB applications. (Samples available now.)
