The 74LVC1T45 is a single bit, dual supply transceiver with 3-state outputs intended for sending a single logic input/output across different voltage domains. The A I/O tracks VCCA, while the B input/output tracks VCCB, allowing translation between any voltages from 1.65 to 5.5 V.
When a high is applied to DIR the A pin becomes an input and the B pin becomes the output, and conversely when DIR is asserted low. All inputs have a little hysteresis to reduce noise problems and a 3-state condition occurs when either of the power supply voltages are zero. The IC will operate at 400 Mbits/s with a 3.3 to 5.5 V supply and >75 Mbits/s at 1.8 to 5.5 V, with ± 24 mA output drive at 3.3 V. It comes in SOT26, SOT563, and chip-scale DFN1409-6 (XF4) packages at approximately $0.15 ea/5,000.
