75-W dc/dc converters suit rugged mobile apps

The QCM chassis-mount series of dc/dc converters provides up to 75-W output power in an encapsulated 2.65 x 4.2 x 1.0-in. package. The converters suit ruggedized mobile applications as well as backplane- or NEMA-enclosure-mounted process control applications. The recessed barrier strips on the converter allow all connections to be made in tight quarters while protecting the barrier strip from physical damage.

The dc/dc converter features inputs from 18 to 36 and 36 to 75 Vdc. Output voltage options are 3.3, 5, 12, 15, and 24 Vdc. The idle current in the off-state is 6 mA. Each model also offers output voltage trim to compensate for voltage drops over long leads. All units provide overvoltage protection, pulse by pulse current limiting, and overtemperature protection, as well as dead-short current limiting. The case operating temperature range of the QCM Series is –40° to 100°C. (Contact company for pricing — available now.)
