8-bit 25-MHz microcontroller has tiny 2 x 2-mm footprint
Said to be the world’s smallest MCU, the C8051T606 features a tiny 2 x 2 mm footprint and a 25-MHz 8051 CPU with 128 bytes of RAM and 1.5 kbytes of OTP code memory. The IC has three 16-bit timers, a 2% accuracy oscillator, UART and I2C I/O, and a 16-bit programmable counter array with three capture/compare modules.
The device operates from –40° to 85°C, with a 1.8 to 3.6 V supply and has a comparator with programmable hysteresis and response time. It’s on-chip debug circuitry facilitates full speed, non-intrusive testing. (From $0.50 ea/10,000 — available now.)
