The PIC12F1612 and PIC16F1613 microcontrollers feature core independent peripherals (CIP), which off load timing-critical and core-intensive tasks from the CPU. They also have a windowed watchdog timer to monitor proper software operation and CRC with memory scan to detect memory errors.
