8-bit MCU targets medical, metering

The PIC18F87J93 8-bit MCU features up to 16 channels of 12-bit A/D conversion, an LCD driver, a charge time measurement unit for capacitive touch sensing, and a hardware real-time clock/calendar. The 80-pin chip has 64 to 128 Kbytes of flash and targets medical and metering applications.

The MCU’s LCD charge pump provides contrast control and maintains low-power ratings even with advanced feature sets. It operates from 2.0 to 3.6 V at –40° to 85° C. (From $2.71 ea/10,000 — available now.)
