8-bit MCUs feature 20-nA sleep mode

The PIC18F46J11 and PIC18F46J50 8-bit MCUs feature sleep currents of less than 20 nA with multiple internal wake-up sources, such as real-time clock and calendar alarm, brownout resets, interrupts, and watchdog timers. The devices have 16 to 64 Kbytes of flash and a 4-Kbyte RAM and come in 28- and 44-pin packages.

The ICs include full-speed USB 2.0; one, two, or four PWM outputs; a 10-bit A/D converter; two SPI ports; the mTouch sensing peripheral for capacitive-touch interfaces; and a peripheral pin-select function that provides the flexible mapping to I/O pins. (From $1.58 ea/10,000 — available now.)
