8-bit MCUs feature next-gen peripherals

The PIC12F752 general-purpose 8-bit microcontroller features advanced peripherals. The chips complementary output generator (COG) peripheral provides non-overlapping complementary waveforms for PWM peripherals and comparators and aids dead-band control, auto shutdown, auto reset, phase control and blanking control. The IC also has a 5-bit resolution D/A converter.

The MCUs feature a 1,024 x 14 flash program memory, 64 bytes of SRAM, an 10-bit A/D converter, capture-compare PWM modules, 40-ns-response comparators, and two 50-mA-capable I/Os. Standby current is 50 nA at 2.0 V, and operating current is 260 µA at 4 MHz, 2.0 V typ. The IC comes in a 8-pin 3 x 3-mm DFN and 8-pin PDIP and SOIC packages. ($0.56 ea/10,000 — available now.)
