The 8-channel MAX6581 temperature sensor is ±1°C accurate and has seven remote sensing channels to monitor ASICs, FPGA, CPUs, and boards with multiple hot spots. It replaces up to eight local sensors or seven single-channel remote sensors and can measure the die temperature of external ICs that have integrated thermal diodes.
Each remote channel includes series resistance cancellation and beta compensation for best accuracy. The part requires only a single I2 C address for eight channels of temperature acquisition.
