The ADS5409 two-channel 12-bit A/D converter offers 900-Msample/s
speed in a small 196-pin 12 x 12-mm package. The chip yields an SNR
of 61.0 dBFS and SFDR of 76 dBc at 230 MHz and a SNR of 59.4 dBFS
and SFDR of 70 dBc at 700 MHz.
Full scale input is 1.0 Vp-p, power dissipation is 1.1 W/ch,
standby power is 7 mW, and operating temperature is -40° to 85°C.
Integral nonlinearity at 230 MHz is specified as 0.5 LSB typ and
10.0 LSB max. The chip costs $393.35 each in 1,000 quantity and
single-channel and lower-cost 500-MHz versions are available.
