Data/fax modem is PCMCIA-compliant

The Fury Card 2400 is the first data/fax modem which is fully compliant
with the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association's
(PCMCIA) standard release 2.0. The card is 5 mm thick and fits the Type II
slot in any PC that conforms to PCMCIA standards for portable computers.
The data modem has 2,400-bit/s V.22bis capability with CCITT V.42 error
correction and V.42bis and MNP 5 data compression. The send/receive fax
operates at up to 9,600 bits/s and is Group-3 compatible. An automatic
power-down mode conserves energy when the modem is not in use. External
data access arrangements allow the fax/modem to be connected to many
foreign telephone systems. The card has been approved by the FCC as well
as the German Bundespost. ($340 qty. discounts–4 weeks ARO.) Dr.
