Dc/dc converter fits disk drives
Measuring 4 x 1.5 x 0.562 in., a dual-output dc/dc converter is designed
to power 3 1/2- and 5 1/4-in. disk drives. The model SPP040-2FNN accepts
36 to 60-V inputs and 5- and 12-V outputs. It is better than 80% efficient
and has an estimated MTBF of 1 million hours. Input/output isolation is
500 V, and output ripple-and-noise 50 mVp-p on the 5-V output. The
converter has short-circuit and overvoltage protection as well as EMI
