ISA Fast SCSI-2 board has active termination
As a Fast SCSI-2 host adapter, the BT-545S delivers up to 10 Mbytes/s
synchronous and 7 Mbytes/s asynchronous data transfers. The ISA-based
board utilizes the SCSI-2 recommendation for single-ended active
termination for line-noise immunity. Designed for I/O-intensive file
server and data acquisition environments, the board runs under
multitasking operating systems such as Unix, Xenix, NetWare, and OS/2. An
on-board BIOS allows for single-tasking DOS operation and built-in Format
utilities. A proprietary bus-master ASIC, the 80C20, allows DMA operation.
The ASIC incorporates an 80188 processor, running at 10 MHz, to reduce the
host system's overhead and allow for faster execution. ($325
