Pc-board software blends many functions
Eagle 2.61, the latest version of the company's pc-board design software,
combines a layout editor, schematic-capture module, and autorouter. The
layout editor handles boards up to 64 in.
layers. Other layout capabilities include continuous zoom and autopan,
input from external drawings, and design rule and spacing checks. The
schematic module offers automatic component and net numbering, automatic
board generation, electrical rule checking, and netlisting. The autorouter
uses a 100% rip-up-and-retry strategy and can route up to 16 layers at
once. Hardware requirements include an IBM PC with 640 Kbytes of RAM, DOS
3.0 or higher, a VGA card and display, and mouse. ($1,197–available now.
