CAN chip sends 1 Mbit/s
The 82527 serial communications controller supports the Controller Area
Network (CAN) spec 2.0 for automotive networking. It transmits both 11-
and 29-bit identifiers. All error detection, correction, and confinement
is handled on chip without host intervention. (82527, about $5.30 ea/250,
