Supertwist LCD uses CCFL backlighting
The AND1781BST is a supertwist graphics LCD that uses cold-cathode
fluorescent backlighting for a contrast ratio of 6:1. The 240 x 64-pixel
display has a built-in LCD controller (T6963C) that includes RAM and a
character generator ROM. It is designed for easy interfacing to a CPU in
applications such as medical equipment, terminals, marine radar, and
instruments. The display measures 14 mm thick and has an operating
