Surface-mount LEDs cover wide spectrum
The microLED 597 Series of surface-mount LEDs cover both the visible and
infrared spectrum. The devices are available in two formats: the top
view–which measures 1.3 x 3.1 mm and has a 180 degrees viewing angle–and
the right-angle version–which measures 3.06 x 3.6 mm. The LEDs have a
continuous forward-current rating of 75 mA and a typical luminous
intensity for the high-efficiency red of 7.2 mcd for the top view, and 8.2
mcd for the right-angle LED. Other colors include green, yellow,
yellow-green, and blue. ($0.29 ea/1,000–4 to 6 weeks ARO.) Dialight
