60-W switcher fits 40-W footprint
Switching power supplies occupying a 3 x 5-in. footprint have
traditionally produced 40 to 45 W. The PSA-60 series breaks that barrier
by producing 60 W in the same footprint. For added measure, the supply has
a universal 90 to 260-Vac input to meet worldwide voltage requirements.
Output ratings with continuous convection cooling are 5 V at 12 A to 48 V
at 1.2 A for single-output versions. Dual-output versions provide 5 V at 6
A and 12 V at 4.5 A. The triple-output version provides 5 V at 6 A, 12 V
at 2.2 A, and -12 V at 0.5 A. Ripple-and-noise is less than 1% of the
output voltage, and the temperature coefficient is 0.04%/ degreesC. The
operating temperature range is 0 degrees to 40 degreesC. The supply meets
UL, CSA and VDE standards. (Single-output version, $34.25 ea/100–stock.)
