Timing analysis software for Unix workstations
A new version of TimingDesigner, a timing analysis software package, is
available for use on Unix workstations supporting the X Window System.
According to the company, this is the first time that this type of timing
analysis software has been made available on Unix workstations.
TimingDesigner allows engineers to model and analyze the worst-case timing
of complex digital circuits by tightly linking an interactive timing
diagram editor with a custom timing spreadsheet. Users can enter and
modify complex timing diagrams, calculate critical timing margins, and
observe the causes of glitches, hidden race conditions, and metastability.
They can then automatically generate timing documentation. ($4,
495–available now.) Chronology Corp., Redmond, WA Larry Lewis
