Open-frame switcher allows flexible configuration
There's more to the Uniflex series open-frame switcher than just a small
size of 2.1 x 5 x 8 in. The switcher's modular design enables the user to
assemble various output configurations from three auxiliary output
modules. The modules have wide adjustment ranges that span nominal
voltages from 2 to 6, 5 to 15, and 15 to 36 V. They also have independent
overvoltage and overcurrent protection. Multiple-output supplies are
available with 5-V main outputs; single-output models are available with
outputs rated 2, 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24, and 48 V. Total power is 500 W max.
Standard features include a switching frequency of 130 kHz, remote sense,
current sharing, remote inhibit, thermal shutdown, and EMI filtering.
Other specifications include line and load regulation of 0.1% and a
ripple-and-noise of 1% peak-to-peak. Options include an autoranging
115/230-Vac input. ($480 to $690 each, depending on configuration–from 8
