Digital scope permits high-speed sampling on four channels

The Model 9304 is a four-channel digital oscilloscope that captures
signals up to 175 MHz on each of its channels. High-resolution flash A/D
converters digitize single-shot events at rates up to 100 Msamples/s.
Repetitive waveforms are digitized at 10 Gsamples/s. The scope's long
acquisition memories–10 Kpoints per channel–ensure excellent timing
resolution at any time base setting. Furthermore, live, stored, or
processed waveforms can be expanded up to 200 times to achieve maximum
time resolution. And, FFTs can be performed in real time using the
manufacturer's extended signal-processing packages. In fact, the Model
9304 can perform up to four FFT displays simultaneously, one for each
channel. Advanced triggering is another strong point of the Model 9304.
Standard trigger functions such as pre- and post-triggering, holdoff by
time or by the number of events, and TV trigger are supplemented by Smart
trigger modes that help the user track and monitor complex and rare
phenomena. An optional PC-compatible memory card system–using a
DOS-compatible RAM card–is available for applications requiring
high-speed data logging and nonvolatile waveform storage. Up to 2 Mbytes
of information (waveforms and information settings) can be stored on a
single card. ($5,990; optional FFT software package, $995–6 weeks ARO.)
