386SX-based STEbus PC board is rugged
The SCIM386SXplus is a 386SX-based STEbus processor board that can
provide a complete industrial-control PC in a 100 x 160-mm Eurocard
module. The Chips and Technologies SCATSX chipset gives the board 100% PC
compatibility. The board comes with RAM, networking, and I/O capability,
as well as a Super VGA option. The interface to STEbus is implemented via
a two-part DIN41612 connector, and includes full multimaster arbitration.
Optimized for embedded applications, the board's I/O lines are routed via
a 50-way ribbon cable header connector. This industry-standard header
offers access to a range of heavy-duty interfaces with features such as
screwdriver-connect terminations. Expansion options include Ethernet,
ARCnet, and Bitbus interfaces. (1-Mbyte RAM, $768; Super VGA add-on,
