Power oscillator drives large MOSFETs
The TC96C555 is a 3-A power oscillator that combines with an external
capacitor to form a programmable oscillator. The device includes a window
comparator with 1- and 2-V thresholds, two programmable current sources, a
4-V reference, and independent p- and n-channel outputs. The TC96C555 has
an output switching speed of 23 ns into a capacitive load of 1,800 pF, and
an input-to-output delay of 140 ns. The oscillator has an operating range
from 5 to 18 V and is fully protected against electrostatic discharge up
to 4,000 V. It comes in 8-pin DIPs and 16-pin SO packages. (From $1.35
