PGA socket accepts ASICs An interstitial PGA socket, the series 585,
accepts ASICs on 0.050 x 0.100-in. centers. Its contacts have an insertion
force of just 1 oz, compared to 2 1/2 oz or more for other sockets. The
contact opening is 0.005 in., and the contact length is 0.065 in. The
socket is available in 243, 293, 365, 369, 391, 447, and 545 contacts.
