Dc/dc converter meets ECL needs

A dc/dc converter provides +5- and -5-V outputs from a 28-V input to run
circuits that use ECL as well as TTL and CMOS designs. The MHF+2805D uses
the company's Asymmetrical Power Transfer technology to increase output
power by extending duty cycles above 50%–without additional stress on
power supply components. Rated 15 W, the supply occupies a 1.7-in.2
footprint and stands just 0.325 in. high. Besides +5 and -5 V, other
output voltages include 12, 15, +/-12, and +/-15 V. Line and load
regulation is 15 mV, and output ripple current is 40 mVp-p. Efficiency is
82%. ($353 ea/100–8 weeks ARO.) Interpoint Corp., Redmond, WA Susan
