Disk controller hits 72 Mbits/s The CL-SH4600 fully automated disk
controller transfers 72 Mbits/s and includes automatic task file
management. It also includes logical block addressing to bypass the 10-bit
cylinder limit in the ROM BIOS of AT-compatible computers. Optional 2-bit
NRZ disk interface widens the read-channel bandwidth to 72 Mbits/s. Task
file management eliminates many interrupts to the local microcontroller.
The CL-SH4600 comes in a 100-pin very-thin quad flatpack. ($25 ea/1,
