Chipset for Pentium supports PCI bus The VL82C580 chipset supports the
Intel Pentium at 66 MHz. The set comprises a controller, two three-port
data buffers, and an ISA bus bridge chip. It uses the PCI local-bus
standard, running at half the CPU clock. Its DRAM control supports up to
four 72-bit banks using DRAMs from 256 Kbits to 16 Mbits deep. The cache
controller supports synchronous SRAMs or industry standard. ($65 ea/1,
