LAN chipset offers power-line communications A two-chip set version of
the company's AN192 power-line carrier LAN module is available. The
product employs spread-spectrum techniques, and incorporates an
adaptive/wideband approach and noise-immune networking protocols
specifically developed for handling worst-case power-line noise and
attenuation. The system transmits raw data at 135 kbits/s, with forward
error correction and automatic repeat request, providing an effective
throughput of 19.2 kbits/s with an established reliability of a
