Inductance simulator handles large problems
The PG-PLANE three-dimensional inductance simulator for analyzing power
and ground planes has been enhanced to handle much larger problems. The
new version can handle pc-board-size simulations as well as support the
reporting of “effective inductance.” In addition, the software includes
improved memory management and dynamic memory allocation. PG-PLANE, as
part of the HENRY 3D Inductance Simulator, runs on Sun and
Hewlett-Packard 400 and 700 series workstations. (HENRY, $30,
000–available now.) OEA International, Inc. Santa Clara, CA Jerry
