GARDS IV is a high-performance IC physical design product that provides
automatic placement and routing of VLSI and ULSI circuits with up to one
million gates. According to the company, in benchmark studies the product
completed the placement and routing for large, sea-of-gates arrays between
five and 20 times faster than other available such tools. GARDS IV runs on
Hewlett-Packard and Sun platforms. ($330,000–available now.)
