Capacitive pressure sensor provides full system capabilities
The MPP-24 intelligent low-pressure sensor is available in 0 to 2 in. W.
C. and 0 to 15 psi pressure ranges. It contains a silicon capacitive
pressure sensor integrated with linear and digital CMOS circuitry and an
EEPROM, all in a single 1.2 x 0.7 x 0.9-in. package. The sensor can
withstand overpressures up to 150 psi. An on-board EEPROM allows the user
to program the span, resolution, and frequency of MPP-24 sensor to
specific application needs. Furthermore, calibration is programmed and
linearization is specified at the factory, and these coefficients are
stored in the EEPROM. Integrating the sensor with linear and digital CMOS
circuitry allows the sensor to communicate directly with a microprocessor
without additional circuitry. And the sensor's tri-state bus output makes
it easy to combine multiple sensors. The MPP-24 plugs into a standard
24-pin socket and has NIST traceable calibration. ($65 ea/1,000–stock.)
