Photoelectric sensor detects targets of any color
Operating at distances up to 7 ft, the MR3-T sensor detects targets of
any color or material, including those difficult or impossible to detect
with conventional photoelectrics, such as clear glass and plastic, black
rubber, and multicolored packages. In addition to its long-range
capability, the MR3-T has a built-in, 0.1 to 5.0-s timer with
switch-selectable on-delay, off-delay or one-shot modes. The MR3-T's
detection versatility results from the manufacturer's beam
optical-triangulation technology. While conventional photoelectric sensors
respond to the intensity of a reflected light, the MR3-T responds to the
angle of light. This approach allows the MR3-T to ignore the factors that
affect reflectivity (color, texture, lens cleanliness, ambient light) and
can adversely influence the performance of conventional photoelectric
