Comparators use little power
The MAX921/922/923/924 combination comparator/reference ICs are offered
as featuring the lowest power consumption available in their class. The
MAX921 single comparator draws less than 4 microamps over temperature, and
includes a 1.18-V +/-1% reference, programmable hysteresis, and TTL/CMOS
outputs that require no external pull-up resistors. The comparators
continuously source as much as 40 mA and have a propagation delay of 12
microsecond with 10 mV of overdrive. The MAX921, MAX922 dual comparator,
and MAX923 dual comparator with reference come in 8-pin DIPs and SOPs. The
MAX924 quad comparator with reference is available in 16-pin DIPs and
