DIN connector has 2.5-mm pitch
A five-row DIN connector is based on the new IEC 917 Metric Practice,
which uses System Units (SU) with a 2.5-mm pitch in 25-mm long increments
as standard sizes. The smallest module, 1 SU, can have 35 signal contacts,
two coaxial contacts, or two power contacts for currents up to 35 A each.
Modules can be easily mixed and matched on a board to furnish custom
configurations from standard parts. The connector uses 0.025-in. square
pins with a compliant C-pin section. The connector can be used at
frequencies up to 3 GHz, with appropriate shielding. The mating
right-angle receptacle has press-fit contacts. The connector meets IEEE
