GPIB Windows interface
for test instruments
The HP 82341A HP-IB (GPIB/IEEE-488.2) interface for Microsoft Windows 3.1 and Windows NT allows users to acquire data and control test instruments from Intel-based PC platforms. The interface includes Hewlett-Packard's standard instrument control library and a high-speed interface card. The interface allows the user to write C or C++ programs to import data into Windows applications from any test instrument with an IEEE-488.2 interface, including traditional standalone instruments and VXI-based instruments from a variety of manufacturers. The HP 82341A interface card uses one ISA/EISA bus slot, making it compatible with most PCs. (Windows 3.1 interface, $495; NT option, $845–stock.)
