Controller talks to industrial LANs
The DL2000 is a data communications controller that allows a PC, peripheral, or
OEM equipment to talk to industrial LANs. These LANs include Profibus, Hartbus,
and DeviceNet, as well as those from Allen-Bradley, GE, Modicon, Siemens,
Square D, and Westinghouse. The synchronous serial port (a second one is
optional) can handle speeds of 4 Mbaud. The asynchronous serial ports include
RS-232 and RS-422/485 and can handle up to 500 Kbaud. Other features include
256 Kbytes of EPROM, 512 Kbytes of RAM, and 512 Kbytes of EEPROM.
