Digital receiver meets
DSS and DVB standards
The VES1777 universal digital satellite receiver chip complies with both the
DVB and DSS set-top-box standards. The device is a superset of the VES1789 and
integrates the company's variable-rate QPSK demodulation and forward error
correction functions.
The chip needs only one external crystal to operate. It comes in a 68-pin PLCC
or a 100-pin MQFP. ($19.50 ea/10,000–available now.)
