Ceramic resistors replace carbon parts
Designed to replace carbon resistors, the OP and OR series of noninductive
ceramic-composite resistors are rated at 1 and 2 W, respectively. The devices
come in values ranging from 10 ohm to 27 kilohm, depending on wattage,
and have a ±10% standard tolerance. A high-temperature solvent coating
allows the parts to operate in harsh environments. (OP series, $1.06 ea/1,000;
OR series, $1.24 ea/1,000–8 to 10 weeks ARO.)
