Portable data acquisition system records
high-frequency transducer data
The 5500 PDAS is a portable data acquisition and analysis system that
can be user configured to acquire measurement data from a variety of transducers.
Channels can be sampled from 1 to 50,000 times/s accommodating low- and
high-frequency data.
Signal conditioning is available for quarter-, half-, and full-bridge
transducers, strain gauges, thermocouples, RTDs, potentiometers, LVDTs,
and low-level voltage and currents. A Pentium-based laptop computer running
Windows 95 and the company's GRASP software controls the 5500 PDAS and
stores data to a hard disk at up to 500,000 samples/s aggregate rate while
simultaneously displaying data in engineering units from multiple channels
in text, strip chart, bar chart, and oscillograph windows. ($20,000–60
days ARO.)
