OLE software controls
have Windows capability
Windows 95 and Windows NT control software for object linking and embedding
(OLE) simplifies the integration of the company's industrial I/O pack modules
into data acquisition and control applications. Up to four IP mezzanine
I/O modules plug into the company's APC8610 carrier board, which provides
the ISA-bus interface to a PC.
The OLE controls are software components that function as drivers to
give access to IP module I/O data for use in OLE-compatible programs. The
OLE controls handle common functions including register reads, writes,
and interrupts. (APC8610, $625; software, $200–stock to 4 weeks ARO.)
