OTDR offers NIST-standard measurements
The TFS3031 TekRanger 2 is a miniature optical time-domain reflectometer
(OTDR) with enhanced fiber-optic cable measurement capabilities. It offers
single-mode distance and loss measurements that are traceable to National
Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) standards.
In addition, a high-dynamic-range option for single-mode systems enables
the user to detect fiber ends up to 200 km away at 1,550 nm. Optional Windows-based
FMTAP 3.0 documentation and analysis software offers waveform storage,
manipulation, analysis, and database building for historical or trend analysis.
