PC spectrometer gives
easy, accurate measure
The WaveStar PC-based spectrometer measures
continuous and pulsed sources in intensities from
microwatts to watts with models giving spectral
responses ranging from 350 to 1,100 nm. The unit
provides an automatic find-and-tag feature to
locate peak wavelengths with 0.1-nm accuracy,
delivers resolution to 0.5-nm full-width
half-maximum, and produces a true NIST-traceable
intensity-versus-wavelength display.
The hardware plugs into a PC's parallel port and
the accompanying software installation completes
the configuration. Software features include
continuos variable shutter speeds from 28 µs
to 7.3 s and a dynamic range of greater than
100,000:1. ($3,500–stock.)
