Mini-SMP coax connector suits tight-spaced apps

Connector is 70% smaller than standard SMP
connectors
A miniature SMP coaxial connector is heralded as
being 70% smaller than standard SMP connectors,
offering designers a solution for
high-packaging-density and tight-spaced
applications. For example, a straight female
cable connector features a diameter of 3.2 mm and
overall length of 6.6 mm. Rated to 65 GHz, the connector can be used in
high-speed applications from 10 to 40 Gbits/s.
The connector is available for cable, pc-board,
and surface-mount connections, in straight and
right-angle plug and jack configurations. Featuring a full-detent, snap-on connection
system, the connector provides resistance to
vibration and high mechanical loads. The part can
also be specified with a smooth-bore sliding
contact for use in backplane and plug-in
applications.

The connector meets MIL-STD-202 testing
requirements and mates with GPPO and SSMP
devices. A full range of adapter support is
available for circuit and cable development and
testing. (Mated pair, less than $11
ea/1,000–stock to 4 weeks ARO.)
