Cameras support
machine-vision apps
Available in a 40 x 40 x 65-mm rectangular enclosure with a cylindrical housing option, the EDC-3000C (color) or EDC-3000D (monochrome) 1,280 x 1,024-resolution cameras suit scientific and general machine-vision applications. The devices use 1/2-in. CMOS image sensors with 5.2-µm2 pixels operating with a peak quantum efficiency of 52% (color) or 56% (monochrome) and an optical response extending into the near IR.
Using a rolling shutter and operating in progressive-scan mode, the devices have a fixed-pattern noise of under 0.3%, a dark current of 20 e/pixel/s at 25°C, and a readout noise of 10e rms for an SNR of 61 dB. At full resolution, the cameras deliver up to 30 fps, at VGA the frame rate is over 100 fps, and with region-of-interest subwindowing, the frame rate can exceed 3,000 fps. ($950available now.)
