International Rectifier Announces Availability of “Ready and Proven” Reference Designs for the IR2520D Compact Fluorescent Lamp Ballast IC

International Rectifier, IR®(NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology has  announced the availability of three complete compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) ballast reference designs for the IR2520D. The reference designs are complete and proven solutions for CFL ballasts. Designers can use these reference designs to streamline their products' time to market.

The CFL ballast reference designs feature programmable run frequency and preheat time as well as safety and circuit protection functions such as low AC line, open filament and failure-to-strike.

All International Rectifier lighting reference designs include complete circuits with comprehensive documentation, including schematics, bill of materials, board layout, application notes, board silkscreen and data sheets. Ballast design software also is included.
