The PPM-Wireless PC/104-Plus module enables 802.11b and.11g wireless networking from a mini-PCI connector. The MiniPCI card is a small version (about one quarter the size) of a standard desktop PCI card and measures 90 x 96 mm.
The module can be shipped with an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Mini-PCI card installed, or with an empty MiniPCI socket so users can install their own cards from Intel, Broadcom, Foxconn, or others. The unit has an SMA connector for an external antenna having characteristics best suited for the application. Typical indoor range is 100 ft at 54 Mbits/s or 300 ft at 1 Mbit/s.
